Toward the end of last year, I began to notice the boom in subscription box services. Maybe I had been under a rock, but it just seemed that they were suddenly everywhere and everyone was either reviewing one or they were creating one. I too thought for a moment of starting a subscription box service and I reserve the right to revisit the topic at a later date. I did a little research and I found that there is a box for virtually anything from pet lovers to tea lovers.

I decided to sign up for Ipsy. The main reason I chose Ipsy was economic, it is not expensive at all. I signed up in October and received my first box in November and I can say that I haven’t been disappointed. It is also a good feeling to receive something in the mail that is not a bill, and that allows you to indulge your hobbies. Not only that, I was considering replacing some items that I have run out of in my makeup bag and lo and behold the item I needed was in one of my Ipsy bags. Good looking out Ipsy.
One of my favorite things about Ipsy is that they send a unique and decorative makeup bag each month. These bags can be used for gifting or they can be kept and rotated to your desire. Each month that are new treats included in each bag that make the investment worth it. It seems that they pick just what you want when you think you need it. For those of you who think it is just bags and makeup, there are also other items like nail polish, tweezer and perfume. It has only been three months and I am enjoying my Ipsy subscription.

At the beginning of November, I had the pleasure of traveling to Atlanta to attend my first ever Blogalicious conference. First of all let me say KUDOS to the Stacey Ferguson and her team for providing am insightful, inspiration and empowering weekend for bloggers, brands and everyone in between. Not only was there the opportunity to connect and experience the brands, the social suites, a new concept to me at these conferences was an amazing way to unwind, engage and experience everything the sponsors had to offer the conference attendees.
As a lifelong learner, it is always an plus for me when I have the opportunity to engage, to learn and to find myself immersed in an environment where I can engage others, learn more about my craft and how to be and do better and to connect with those who have experience and knowledge to share. Blogalicious provided all of that and much more.
