Sound Off Sunday

This past weekend was amazing!  My weekend started on Thursday afternoon with a Fall Tasting at Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Naperville (you will hear more about that soon).  Thanks Beth from mommyonashoestring.com..  Both the food, cocktails and the company were amazing.  Not only did we enjoy the outing, Beth and Sullivan’s gave great parting gifts.

Thursday even was the eve of BlogHerFood15, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago here in Chicago and I was invited to a tasting sponsored by Canadian Lentils at the Little Goat.  At the Little Goat, we were treat to appetizers, a buffet and deserts that were all made using Lentils.

Friday and Saturday were spent at BlogHer food.  What I found most amazing was that everyone kept saying the conference this weekend was small compared to their annual conference BlogHer.  So now I cannot wait to go to the next annual conference in Los Angeles next year.  The information shared during this weekend was invaluable and I cannot wait until I have an opportunity to use what I have learned to make this blog, bigger, better and brilliant.

Look for more post about the dinner at the Little Goat, Sullivan’s Fall Tasting as well as BlogHer Food.  I have so much to blog about.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

What’s New Wednesday

I know that I have been MIA for awhile.  I have been going through some things and I have also been exploring new opportunities.  When we lose something we may actually in fact be gaining the world.  That is where I am.  I can say that lately, I have been blessed beyond measure with new and exciting opportunities unfolding for me each and every day.

Today I received my very first Eloquii catalogue  For those who love Plus Size fashion, you already know why I am excited.  Now instead of browsing online, now I actually have the opportunity to look and plan and search whenever I like.  I’m loving this!

Starting Friday, here in my hometown, sweet home Chicago, #BlogHerFood15 kicks off.  Well there is a private event Thursday night to get the festivities in gear.  This is my first BlogHer conference and from the looks of it I will not be disappointed.  I am looking forward to the workshops, the sponsor booths and the fun.  I  can’t wait.  blogherfood15-logo

Like I said, on a personal note things have been upside down and twisted, but while I may have bent but I am not broken.  I am thankful this Wednesday for the new opportunities the new experiences and the new person I am becoming.  That’s what’s new this Wednesday!
