Wishful Thinking vs. Thoughtful Wishes


Is there a difference between wishful thinking and thoughtful wishes?  I am not sure that there is much difference between the two concepts.  What I do know is that wishful thinking can lead you to making changes in your daily life and your lifestyle.  But I assume that it is also sage to say that thoughtful wishes can do the same.   It appears that Mary Martin thought that there was a difference.  It is hard to determine what she meant or what she though was the difference.

Essentially it is up to the individual to determine what works best for them and what is in their best interest.  What do you practice, thoughtful wishing or wishful thinking?


Motivation to start a New Habit


Where do you find the motivation to start a new habit?  Each individual has their own way of getting and staying motivated.  What works for one person may not work for the next.  Motivation requires that we decide and commit to doing a new thing and most importantly that we stick to it.  Motivation is a big word that requires small steps to make significant changes.  I found an excellent printout about motivation that I will share here:
