If you are a fan of fashion as I am, you were probably waiting with baited breath as the photos and red carpet looks from the MET gala were rolled out last week. I was so excited to see who was wearing what and the looks came together. From the makeup to the fashion to the drama from the looks that was created it was a great night for fashion and an even greater night for fashion fans.
The Met Ball or the Met gala is a fundraising event where designers, celebrities and models come out to show the world their fashion choices and fabulosity. The event has been ongoing since 1946 and has become the fashion event of the year. The event is always held on the first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme for this year was ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” introducing the newest exhibition to the museum curated by Andrew Bolton. The fashions for this year were right on point with this theme. The hosts for this years gala were Rihanna, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour, and Stephen and Christina Schwarzman.
I am going to show my picks for the following categories: Black, Gold, Men of Met and Legs for days, Aging Gracefully and I will close with my favorite look of the night. (Images from vogue.com)

SJP looked amazing but the makeup was a miss for me. She looks like she just had bad plastic surgery. This Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda dress looks fabulous on her.
Gisele’s gold Versace dress was life. And Tom looked good in his Versace too. Without the wings this would have been a miss. Katy Perry is wearing this angelic look by Versace.
Ashley Graham rocking her curves in Parabal Gurung. Another stunner by H&M.
Men Of Met
Wiz Khalifa in Dior Homme
Sorry Kylie, Travis owns this moment!Trevor Noah looked very chic in Balmain
Sean Combs wearing Musika Frere
This Versace ensemble seems a little Elvis inspired. Chadwick has no problem taking a risk. The shoes are making this a win for me. A lot of FLAVOR! Migos in Versace.Idris is always nice to look at. He looks dapper in Givenchy Haute Couture
Jimmy Fallon looks like he just left the bar. Both me look great. Both men are wearing Ralph Lauren. This Prada suit, color and cut works well for Daniel.

Legs for Days
No one shows leg like J.Lo in Balmain
Slay Gabrielle Union in Parabal Gurung

Love this statement by Lena Waithe in Carolina Herrera.
While the dress was a NO for me the hair is giving me life!
Love this look. This is so my style. Katie Lee is wearing this Danielle Frankel dress.
This Diane von Furstenberg dress is beautiful and so is Jourdan Dunn wearing it.
Aging Gracefully
These women are aging gracefully. Well let me be specific, J. Lo never ages at all. Kris Jenner is always classy so is Sarah Jessica Parker. Cindy Crawford is ageless. Linda Carter will always be Wonder Woman to me and she looks great as does Brooke Shields.
My Favorite Look of the Evening
Kendall Jenner was simply stunning. I loved everything about this top to toe white. Complimented by the sleek hair, diamond earrings and gloves. It was just the right amount of everything. Simple yet bold and classic. Hands down my favorite look of the evening.
