Summer is coming to an end. If you live in a large city like I do, there may be things going on everyday and every evening for you to experience. That is very important if you live in a city like Chicago where winter is definitely coming and you are not sure how long you may be inside due to the inclement weather.
Each and every day there are things going on in the Chicagoland area that can keep you busy and that can help you enjoy the last remaining days of summer.
The newly open and renovated Chicago Riverwalk is open for business to walk and dine. Check out their website here for more information http://www.chicagoriverwalk.us/.
Every Tuesday at Pier 31 there is some type of dancing going on. So for those of you who need to release some steam after work early in the week this is a great event to check out. If dancing is not your thing, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) has Tuesday’s on the Terrace where they have live music each and every Tuesday evening. For more information contact https://mcachicago.org/Programs/Music/Tuesdays-On-The-Terrace.
On Wednesday evenings the Shedd Aquarium hosts Jazzin’ at the Shedd where they have live Jazz and you can stay for the weekly fireworks. Jazzin’ at the Shedd continues through September 14. Go to their website for more information http://www.sheddaquarium.org/jazzin/.
There are also music festivals, ethnic festivals and movies in the park. There is so much to do and see in the city and surrounding suburbs. You can check Metromix here http://www.events12.com/chicago/. Before summer is over get out have some fun and experience the richness that Chicago has to offer. Before you know it we will be shoveling snow (well not me) and bundled up.
Stay Blessed and Stay Fabulous!
