Creativity is much like yesterday’s post on excellence. Creativity requires the cultivation of your gift, whatever that gift may be. Most artists whatever there media may be work at what they do. Singers spend hours in the studio. Dancers spend hours in rehearsal. Artist spend days working on canvas. Seamstress work for days on end to perfect that garment.
I have recently taken up the hobby of sewing. I can say that while it can be relaxing and fun at times, it is also a great deal of work. Not to mention the injuries from sewing your fingers or sticking yourself with pins that hold your garment in place. I have other creative hobbies such as crocheting and cooking and I can tell you that the creativity involved takes time talent and skill to be good. Being creative at anything requires making that skill a habit.
I encourage everyone reading this blog to channel their creative identity and embrace it. Work at that which makes you creative and happy release anything that stands in the way or blocks your creativity. Do not be afraid to color outside of the lines and do not be afraid to let your inner creative fly free. The world is waiting.
